About

I've always had a deep-rooted passion for horticulture and design, alongside a fervent love for exotic plants. Born in Vancouver, Canada, my childhood was spent sailing the world across six continents and over 80 countries, inspiring my fascination with the natural world.

My journey into gardening has been one of hands-on experience rather than formal education. Nurturing plants since childhood and exploring diverse plant ecosystems around the world, I've gained invaluable practical insights. Over the past three decades, I've honed my skills through apprenticeships, community projects, and tending to both modern and traditional gardens.

While my academic background includes degrees in Fine Arts (specialising in Painting and Sculpture) and Design (with a focus on Industrial and Online design), my interests extend far beyond these realms. I'm captivated by disciplines such as biology, botany, geology, technology, art, photography, archaeology, travel, architecture, eco-design, and environmental sustainability.

Throughout my career, I've worn many hats, from gardening and design to eco-industrial design, product development, website design, marketing, SEO, social media management, buying and merchandising. My diverse skill set and multifaceted interests drive my dedication to creating beautiful, sustainable spaces that harmonise with the natural world.
